A chunky, heavy-shouldered whelk displaying an incredibly tactile, rugged surface. Sourced from calcified beach piles, its original golden tones have mellowed into a beautifully rustic, weathered cream with deep natural character.

These shells are vintage shop stock from a coastal gift shop that closed in the 1980s. They have been stored for decades and are not recent imports.
