Reticulated Distorsio (Distorsio reticularis)
A bizarre and fascinating collector's shell known for its deliberately distorted, asymmetrical, and warped whorls. The surface is heavily cross-hatched with a rough, mesh-like netting texture in sandy cream and pale gold.
Each shell comes complete with an identification label.
Average size 4 - 6 cm
These shells are vintage shop stock from a coastal gift shop that closed in the 1980s. They have been stored for decades and are not recent imports.
Each shell is a unique natural specimen, lightly conditioned to highlight its rich, authentic colours and surface patterns. Rather than photographed individually, we will carefully select a shell for you from the chosen size range, ensuring excellent colour and overall quality.
