Thorny Woodcock Murex Specimen Shell

A spectacular specimen of the natural sea shell Vokesimurex tribulus (Thorny Woodcock Murex). Features an incredibly long, slender siphonal tail completely bristling with rows of long, needle-sharp, skeletal protection spines.

Each shell comes complete with an identification label.

Average size 6 - 7 cm

These shells are vintage shop stock from a coastal gift shop that closed in the 1980s. They have been stored for decades and are not recent imports.

Each shell is a unique natural specimen, lightly conditioned to highlight its rich, authentic colours and surface patterns. Rather than photographed individually, we will carefully select a shell for you from the chosen size range, ensuring excellent colour and overall quality.
