Urchin Wands / Slate Pencil Spines (Heterocentrotus mamillatus)
A unique pack of heavy, thick, completely blunt primary sea urchin spines. They sport an incredibly unique, highly smooth slate-pencil structure finished in striking shades of deep copper-red, maroon, or rich brown.

Each shell comes complete with an identification label.

Sold as a mixed bundle of 5 spines, measuring approximately 4.5 to 7cm in length.

These shells are vintage shop stock from a coastal gift shop that closed in the 1980s. They have been stored for decades and are not recent imports.
